Senior Staff ASIC Emulation Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, the person shall report to the Chip Lead and would provide inputs to architect an emulation solution for the given SoC. The person shall perform emulator capacity and resource planning, create a base emulation setup integrating all models, ICE, and virtual interfaces and create necessary compilation scripts. The person shall help cross-domain teams to run tests on the emulator platform.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in a hands-on Emulation Lead Role.
• Experience with Mentor Veloce or Cadence Palladium.
• Experience with setting up Emulation Platform for full-chip complex SoC.
• Experience with setting up virtual interfaces for industry-standard interfaces e.g. Ethernet, PCIe, etc.
• Knowledge and experience with ICE capabilities of the emulators.
• Experience with emulation of embedded processors, their memory interfaces, and peripherals.
• Experience with simulation acceleration using emulators.
• Expertise in debugging emulator performance issues and deep knowledge of tools to resolve them.
• Proven knowledge and expertise with Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL based verification.
• Proven experience with C, UVM, Python /Perl for automation.
• Proven problem solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to learn new domains and emulate design in those domains.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven knowledge in one or more SW development language, tools, and platforms.
