Staff Software Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

• This position requires a BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electronics/Communication.
• Relevant industry experience of 7 to 10 years in the semiconductor/telecom industry
• Excellent C programming skills
• Experience in developing embedded firmware on top of an RTOS
• Experience in debugging embedded firmware using JTAG and/or instruments like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc
• In depth understanding of version control software – SVN or Git or Perforce
• Ticketing systems like JIRA or Redmine or Bugzilla
• The ideal candidate will meet one or more of the following experiences and skill expectations in order to be successful in this role
• Experience in designing digital signal processing computational firmware
• Basics of digital communication
• Experience working with mixed-signal SoCs
• Experience developing layer 1/2/3 networking stacks
• Experience developing low-level SoC platform device drivers in Linux
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Computer Science or communications or related domain + 6  to 10 years of experience, or MS +5 to 10 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 3 to 8 years of experience
